Pastor Chris Davis is the new Mission
Development Pastor at Our Savior’s. Chris grew up in
Fort Collins, CO. After graduating from Poudre High School (Go
Impalas!), he attended the University of Northern Colorado (Go
Bears!) in Greeley where he received a Bachelor’s Degree
in Voice Performance. In 2001 he moved to the Twin Cities in Minnesota,
where he attended Luther Seminary (Go… Crazy German Monk?).
While at Luther he earned his Masters of Divinity with an Emphasis
in Youth and Family Ministry and interned at Good Shepherd in
Plover, Wisconsin.
After graduating from Luther, Chris was called to Grace Lutheran
in Hermantown, Minnesota where he served for two years as the
Associate Pastor of Youth and Family Ministry. He is excited to
be back living in the Front Range and serving as the Mission Development
Pastor at Our Savior’s.
Chris has been married to his wife Rachel for 4 years. She is
an active member of the community and is the Coordinator of Career
Services at Aims Community College. Together they have a Boston
terrier named Fender who visits the church from time to time and
loves all the attention he can get.
Chris is passionate about the mission of the church and outreach.
He believes it is part of each Christian’s calling to share
the Good News of the Christ with others – to find the hurting
and the broken and bring them to the feet of Jesus where they
can find healing and forgiveness. He is also deeply committed
to ministry with young people and with those whom the world has
forgotten.
Chris is still a musician at heart and loves to find outlets to
sing, perform, and play some guitar from time to time. He loves
God’s creation and getting outside, playing golf (poorly),
hiking, and whatever else he can find to do. He is a fan of football,
basketball and baseball, and cheers on the Bears, Rams, Broncos,
and Rockies every chance he gets.
So come and get to know Chris! He’s never been known to
turn down a lunch invitation or a cup of coffee. And come and
see all the new and exciting things that are happening at Our
Savior’s!
