Pastor Sarah Moening attended UCLA for her undergraduate degree, volunteered with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and then received elementary education certification from Loyola University in Chicago. Before attending seminary at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, Pastor Sarah taught various grades from preschool to junior high in Chicago, Milwaukee and Denver. She served two congregations in Wyoming before coming to Our Savior's and Lutheran Campus Ministry here in Greeley, Colorado.

Pastor Sarah lives with her husband, Rod Haug, a psychologist with the Veteran's Administration, her mother-in-law, Audrey, and two teenage sons, Ben and Isaac Moening-Swanson.

She enjoys spending time with her family, entertaining, and curling up with a good book of fiction, spirituality or theology (not necessarily in that order).
